June 24: Jamilla VanDyke-Bailey Features at Stone Soup Poetry's Online Open Mic

Amidst the global pandemic, Stone Soup Poetry has been offering an online open mic via  Zoom for anyone interested. This continues to receive an amazing response, and we appreciate everyone's participation.

On Wednesday, June 24, Stone Soup features Jamilla VanDyke-Bailey, who celebrates the release of a new poetry collection.

Jamilla VanDyke-Bailey is an educated black feminist millennial from Boston, Massachusetts. As a writer, she uses trauma and humor to carve out space for the ignored and amplify the voice of the silence. She has had work published in The Southhampton Review, K'in Literary Journal, Oddball Magazine, amongst others. Recently, she has self-published a chapbook Than We Have Been; a poetic reckoning with her mental illness and pregnancy. It can be ordered upon request on Instagram at jamilladanae.
