March 27- Dexter Roberts Presents - The Uncomfortable Habits to Change Habits

Stone Soup Poetry meets every Monday from 7-9 p.m. every Monday at the Out of The Blue Art Gallery at 541 Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square Cambridge, Massachusetts. On March 27th, we will experience both the words and the imagery of poet and artist Dexter Roberts, who will also be debuting his new art show at Out of The Blue this month under the subject "The Uncomfortable Habits to Change Habits."

Dexter Roberts: "I'm an artist. A painter, poet and scientist. The world is my school. The ideas, the thoughts and the cultural products that is distribute throughout society. Old philosophy books, comic books, game of thrones and kung fu flicks are my councilors. I like to talk, paint and write about love, sex, race, the universe, nature and language. In my paintings, as in my poetry, respecting style and form to appropriate degrees; I want the form, the language to melt away, revealing the main idea, the subject matter, the 'ghost' in the body of the art work.

"The poems that I will read, will, formally, and subject matter, be, a change from the customarily way of doing and being, and perhaps, causing, THE UNCOMFORTABLE, which invokes questions and answers."

March 20: Kirk Etherton Hosts Tonight's Open Mic

Stone Soup Poetry meets every Monday from 7-9 p.m. every Monday at the Out of The Blue Art Gallery at 541 Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square Cambridge, Massachusetts. On March 20, we are treated to another all-open mic hosted by Kirk Etherton.

In November, when Stone Soup faced a possible hiatus, Kirk Etherton (along with Toni Bee) helped to take up the mantle and keep the long-running open mic going. He joins us again tonight to lead us through another week.
