On Wednesday June 30, poet, novelist, editor and publisher Patricia Carragon closes out June for Stone Soup.

Patricia Carragon’s fiction piece "What Has to Happen Next" has been nominated for Sundress Publications Annual Best of the Net Anthology. Her poem "Paris the Beautiful" won Poem of the Week from great weather for MEDIA. She was nominated by Bear Creek Haiku for a Pushcart Prize. Her latest books from Poets Wear Prada are Meowku and The Cupcake Chronicles and her debut novel, Angel Fire, is from Alien Buddha Press. Patricia hosts Brownstone Poets and is the editor-in-chief of its annual anthology. She is an executive editor for Home Planet News Online. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.

June 23: Russell DuPont Features at Stone Soup Poetry

 


Amidst the global pandemic, Stone Soup Poetry has been offering an online open mic via Zoom for anyone interested. This continues to receive an amazing response, and we appreciate everyone's participation.

On Wednesday June 23, Russell DuPont features as Stone Soup officially marches into summer. 

Russell DuPont is the author of two novels (King & Train and Waiting for The Turk). He is also the author of several chapbooks (Up in Wisconsin, Travels with Kinsley, There is No Dam Now at Richford) as well as two books of poetry (Winter, 1948 and Establishing Home Plate). His poetry has been published in various literary magazines, including The Albatross, The Anthology of South Shore Poets, Re-Side, Oddball, JerryJazzMusician, Adelaide Literary Magazine, Rye Whiskey Review; and his story, “The Corner,” appears in the anthology Streets of Echoes. His journalism has appeared in The Dorchester Community News, The Melrose Free Press and The Patriot Ledger. His novel, Waiting for the Turk was nominated for a Goodreads Choice Books 2019 Award. He is also a photographer, painter and printmaker whose works have been widely exhibited and are in public and private collections, including The Boston Public Library; Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and The Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

On Wednesday June 9, J. Barrett Wolf visits our online forum for the first itme.

J. Barrett Wolf lives in Binghamton, New York, where he is the Poet in Residence at the Bundy Museum of History and Art and Director at WordPlace – The Southern Tier Literary Center. He's been published in Black Bear Review, Portland Review of the Arts, Long Island Sounds, Rubber Side Down, Writing Outside the Lines, and was on the Connecticut Touring Poetry Roster. He also holds the Bronze Medal of Valor from the San Francisco Police Department.
