February 16th: Stephan Anstey Features
Stone Soup Poetry meets from 8-10 p.m. every Monday at the Out of The Blue Art Gallery at 106 Prospect Street with an open mike sign-up at 7:30 p.m. On February 16th, Stone Soup welcomes another Lowell poet, poet and editor Stephan Anstey.
Stephan Anstey is the founder of Shakespeare’s Monkeys, Shakespeare’s Monkey Revue and is a bit of a poet. Most of his work is of the wordish variety littered with odd thoughts, surreal images and scraps of wisdom in various forms. His dedication to writing excellence in all genres is actually all a clever ruse to build, through sheer force of will, a creative community and outlets that can become like extended family for writers of all brands, models, shapes, colors and sizes. He resides, sometimes even merrily, in Lowell, Massachusetts with the loves of his life – his wife Ellen and their teen-aged children, Emily and Cameron.
Visit Stephan's web page on Shakespear's Monkeys.
