Amidst the global pandemic, Stone Soup Poetry has been offering an online open mic via Zoom for anyone interested. This continues to receive an amazing response, and we appreciate everyone's participation.

Join us on January 26 as we welcome  Mary Jennings all the way from Western, Mass.

Mary Jennings has read regularly with the Stone Soup Poets during the early years at T.T. the Bear’s. A job relocation to Western Massachusetts kept her from returning to Stone Soup, except for occasional visits to her home turf. Nonetheless, she established herself in the open mic scene in Western Mass, including hosting an open mic poetry venue in Amherst for two years. She has gone from writing free-form narrative poetry to writing cinquains, an antiquated short poetic form she has found appropriate in succinctly expressing the human condition. Her poetry can be found on the Facebook page, The Poetry of Mary Jennings, and her illustrated cinquains can be found on Instagram @mkjennings121. Mary lives in Chicopee, Massachusetts with her cat Violet.
