DeWitt Clinton taught English, Creative Writing, and World of Ideas courses for over 30 years at the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater. His earlier collections of poetry include The Conquistador Dog Texts, The Coyot. Inca Texts, (New Rivers Press), At the End of the War (Kelsay Books, 2018), By A Lake Near A Moon: Fishing with the Chinese Masters (Is A Rose Press, 2020), and Hello There (Word Tech Communications, 2021). Mary Jennings has read regularly with the Stone Soup Poets during the early years at T.T. the Bear’s. A job relocation to Western Massachusetts kept her from returning to Stone Soup, except for occasional visits to her home turf. Nonetheless, she established herself in the open mic scene in Western Mass, including hosting an open mic poetry venue in Amherst for two years. She has gone from writing free-form narrative poetry to writing cinquains, an antiquated short poetic form she has found appropriate in succinctly expressing the human condition. Her poetry can be found on the Facebook page, The Poetry of Mary Jennings, and her illustrated cinquains can be found on Instagram @mkjennings121. Mary lives in Chicopee, Massachusetts with her cat Violet.

Sam Cha is from Korea. He earned an MFA at UMass Boston. A 2017 recipient of the St. Boltoph’s Club Emerging Artists Prize, his work has appeared in apt, Assay, Best New Poets 2016, Boston Review, DIAGRAM, Memorious, and Missouri Review. His chapbook, American Carnage, was published by Portable Press @ Yo-Yo Labs in 2018. His full-length collection of cross-genre work, The Yellow Book, was published by [PANK] Books in 2020. Wednesday August 11, John Stickney takes time from being on the road to have his first feature since becoming our online friend.
John Stickney has been a poet and writer for 40 plus years, first in Cleveland, Ohio, now in Wilmington, NC. The recipient of an Individual Artist Grant Award for Poetry from the Ohio Arts Council, his poems have appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines (including Oddball Magazine, Pocket Lint, Exquisite Corpse, Medusa’s Kitchen, Alien Buddha Zine, and North of Oxford). John has performed his work on the radio and television, and his work has been performed by others both on stage and set to music. His work has published in two collections: Works of art are like questions or problems put by their inventor to the public at large (PA Press) and These Americans Moments (Burning Press). He has published book reviews, interviews and featured articles, as well as Art reviews and criticism.
His short fiction has appeared in Mississippi Review, ThugLit, Needles, Beat to a Pulp among others. His authored short monologue, “ Pandemic Travels” and authored short film, Hungry were released in two separate programs via Eventbrite in 2021. John is currently a member of The Writers of the Forest, Port City Playwrights’s Project, the North Carolina Poetry Society, The Ohio Poetry Association and the North Carolina Writers Network.

Widely published in the USA and abroad, her poetry has been translated and published into eleven languages. Gloria is editor of Červená Barva Press and was the Poet Laureate in Somerville, MA in 2017 & 2018. Her book Ash was awarded the Speak Up Talk Radio Firebird Book Award in July, 2021. Ash is also translated into Serbian by Milutin Durickovic and will be out shortly by ALMA Press in Belgrade.
