She is the granddaughter of Kathryne Vandyke and Brenda Caney. she is the mother of Dana-Morrison Sellassie Awuye. She is a sister, aunt, cousin, friend, ex-girlfriend, and enemy. She is black. She is a poet. She is a writer. She is an educator. And she is womxn.
