Ryk McIntyre has been a presence on the New England poetry scene for decades. He has toured extensively around the continental United States and Canada, appearing on stages as varied as NYC’s New School, Boston’s ICA, Portsmouth NH’s Music Hall, Lollapalooza and the very first “Legends of The Slam” Showcase, at the National Poetry Slam in 2006 in Austin, TX. He has also appeared at countless poetry venues, festivals and house parties. He has been published widely, most notably, in The Worcester Review, Off the Coast, Short Fuse- An Anthology of New Fusion Poets, and Aim for the Head - An Anthology of Zombie Poetry. He has two collections of poetry After Everything Burns (2013 Sargent Press) and The Man at the Door (2018 Broken Head Press). He is currently pursuing a degree, and a second life, in Theater. He currently works at a haunted house and occasionally talks to ghosts.

18, Cambridge artist Lo Galluccio comes back to Stone Soup to feature newly published work.
Lo Galluccio is a writer and a vocalist whose most recent work was just released on Červená Barva Press called Not for Amnesia. Other published work includes Hot Rain, on Ibbeston Street Press, a prose-poem memoir on Červená Barva Press,called, Sarasota VII, and a chapbook called Terrible Baubles on Propaganda Press. She served as Poet Populist of Cambridge between 2013 and 2015 and got her MFA in creative writing from Stonecoast in 2019. She lives in Cambridge with her aloof tabby Lucy. Her writings and reviews can be found at www.logalluccio.weebly.com. Her three CDs are on Spotify and Amazon Prime.

Navah the Buddaphliii is a phenomenal spoken word artist, published author and coach of the Lizard Lounge slam team. She is a living legend, a slayer of stanzas, master of metaphors, and duchess of double entendres. Her stage presence has captivated audiences from state to state. She has been a part of the poetry community for over 25 years and counting. Her latest poetry collection is Black Cocaine and Colorless Butterflies.

September 27: Richard Spisak Features at Stone Soup Poetry
Stone Soup Poetry meets every Wednesday online from 7:00-9:00 PM via Zoom. Stay tuned for updates on any future live gatherings. On September 27, Stone Soup Poetry features Richard Spisak, who is celebrating the release of his new poetry collection.
Richard Spisak began his artistic career as a light artist in the Lumonics Studios of Mel Tanner, a legendary Light Artist. After serving under Jack Horkheimer as a planetarium operator at the Miami Space-Transit Planetarium, he left to begin traveling with Lumist Kenvin Lyman, whose show Dazzleland Studios traveled across America. Richard later worked as a Laserist with LASERIUM and Laser Productions, served as a technical producer for the festival company PACE Concerts, and later as operations Manager and Senior Producer at WWHP and WTCN-TV in Stuart Florida.
Richard writes for Theatre, TV, radio, and the web. He published two short story collections, Two Small Windows, in a Pair of Mirror Doors, and Between the Silences. Followed by his poetry collection 7370 Allen Drive and the soon-to-be-released STONE POETRY. Richard also produces "POETS of the East", a televised webcast featuring poets from across the globe.

September 20: Randy Barish Features at Stone Soup Poetry

Randy Barish grew up in Sharon, MA and was raised by parents who were musicians. He graduated UMass, Amherst with a BA in Journalism/English in 1978. He discovered Nichiren Buddhism in 1989, and this new awareness rekindled his interest in poetry. A regular at Stone Soup in the early 2000's, his poem “My River Lethe” was adapted into Beyond The Lake, an award winning short film by Simon Constantine in 2019. His first collection of poetry, Garden of the Mind, was published this summer by Wilderness House Press.

September 13: Dexter Roberts Features at Stone Soup Poetry

Dexter Roberts' interest in art began with comic books, which, spurred him to sketch draw and eventually paint. His art work consists of abstract, text, symbolic and symptomatic depictions, primarily dealing with perception, representation and language. Poems surfaced in Dexter's art upon recognizing that words also have the power of "splattering the mind with images." The painter-poet is from Guyana, South America and has lived in Boston most of his life.
Dexter Roberts has appeared in or has curated numerous art shows and poetry reading around Boston and Cambridge. He is working on his first book of poems, freestyle slave style, due out next year.

Jeff Taylor lives with his wife and kids in Massachusetts where he is a union worker when he isn’t writing poems. August 2: Ellis Elliott Features at Stone Soup Poetry

Ellis Elliott is the creator of Bewilderness Writing, and she received her MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University. She has also been a high-school English teacher, was a ballet teacher for over 30 years, and a yoga teacher. She lives in Juno Beach with her husband and they have six sons in their blended family. Ellis was on the editorial staff of QU literary magazine at Queens University, and is currently a contributing writer for The Southern Review of Books and on the editorial staff of The Dewdrop online digest. Her latest literary adventure is writing her first cozy mystery novel. Ellis’ collection Break in the Field is the first collection to be published by the Old Scratch Press collective.

July 12: Len Germinara and Sarah Oktay Feature at Stone Soup Poetry
Stone Soup Poetry will no longer be meeting in person at

announcements. On July 12, we feature poetry power couple Sarah Oktay and Len Germinara.
Sarah Oktay, Ph.D. is a scientist by nature and a poet by nurture. She co-founded Spoken Word Nantucket with her husband Len Germinara. For twelve years, they hosted an open mic that featured performances by some of the best poets in the country. She recently published the first of four volumes of essays on the natural history of Nantucket entitled Naturally Nantucket, the Sea: Volume One. She has edited and produced nine books of poetry for other authors and writing collaboratives. Sifting Light through the Darkness is her first book of poetry, her second one will be out in December of 2023. She also contributed two chapters to Women of the Wild Challenging Gender Disparities in Field Stations and Marine Laboratories. For the past two years she has given many performances around the country via Zoom.
Len Germinara has been writing, publishing, and performing his poetry for over four decades. For 17 years he ran spoken word venues in Massachusetts from south of Boston to Nantucket featuring some of the best poets in the country. Len has been a feature on WCAI-NPR in Massachusetts and Writers on the Air in Sacramento CA. Len has been published in numerous national journals and publications.
