October 25: Ryk McIntyre Features at Stone Soup Poetry


Stone Soup Poetry meets every Wednesday online from 7:00-9:00 PM via Zoom. Stay tuned for updates on any future live gatherings. On October 25, Ryk McIntyre returns for a special Halloween feature. Bring you own horror themed work to the open mic!
 
Ryk McIntyre has been a presence on the New England poetry scene for decades. He has toured extensively around the continental United States and Canada, appearing on stages as varied as NYC’s New School, Boston’s ICA, Portsmouth NH’s Music Hall, Lollapalooza and the very first “Legends of The Slam” Showcase, at the National Poetry Slam in 2006 in Austin, TX. He has also appeared at countless poetry venues, festivals and house parties. He has been published widely, most notably, in The Worcester Review, Off the Coast, Short Fuse- An Anthology of New Fusion Poets, and Aim for the Head - An Anthology of Zombie Poetry. He has two collections of poetry After Everything Burns (2013 Sargent Press) and The Man at the Door (2018 Broken Head Press). He is currently pursuing a degree, and a second life, in Theater. He currently works at a haunted house and occasionally talks to ghosts.

October 18: Lo Galluccio Features at Stone Soup Poetry

Stone Soup Poetry meets every Wednesday online from 7:00-9:00 PM via Zoom. Stay tuned for updates on any future live gatherings. On October 18, Cambridge artist Lo Galluccio comes back to Stone Soup to feature newly published work.
 
Lo Galluccio is a writer and a vocalist whose most recent work was just released on Červená Barva Press called Not for Amnesia. Other published work includes Hot Rain, on Ibbeston Street Press, a prose-poem memoir on Červená Barva Press,called, Sarasota VII, and a chapbook called Terrible Baubles on Propaganda Press. She served as Poet Populist of Cambridge between 2013 and 2015 and got her MFA in creative writing from Stonecoast in 2019. She lives in Cambridge with her aloof tabby Lucy. Her writings and reviews can be found at www.logalluccio.weebly.com. Her three CDs are on Spotify and Amazon Prime.
